James 'The Globetrotter' - Around the world as a football player

Following the tournament, he joined Real Madrid, but - just like many other great players - he fell short at Santiago Bernabeu, and his career has started going south since. However, even though he did not fulfill his full potential and accomplish everything that was predicted, he at least used his career to travel all around the world. Namely, the Colombian has recently joined the Mexican side, Leon, while the North American country has become the 11th he's played in!

Rodriguez set out on this incredible journey - of course - from his homeland, where he represented his boyhood club, Envigado. Afterwards, he played at the Argentinian Banfield before moving to Europe, to the Portuguese Porto. In the time of the aforementioned FIFA World Cup, James was a member of the French Monaco, from which Los Blancos bought him. In addition, during his spell in Madrid, he spent two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich.

When his days in the Spanish capital were numbered, Carlo Ancelotti brought the Colombian to Everton, though he left the Toffees after a single season and moved to the Qatari Al-Rayyan. Rodriguez's next stop was Greece, where he spent one season with Olympiacos before "finding refuge" at the Brazilian Sao Paulo. Finally, he briefly returned to Spain, to Rayo Vallecano, leaving after only six months for the aforementioned Leon.

This way, the 33-year-old became one of the greatest "travellers" in football, as there are not many players who have seen as many parts of the world as Colombia's beloved son - James Rodriguez.
