The Senegalese will almost certainly leave Bayern at the end of the season, but his stay at Chelsea remains questionable
Chelsea's cunning attempt to get rid of Nicolas Jackson will most likely end in failure. The striker is far from triggering the obligation-to-buy clause from the Blues' loan deal with Bayern Munich and is set to return to London at the end of the season.
The Senegalese joined the Bavarians last September, and they put high hopes in him as they paid €16.5 million to get him on a season-long loan, and apparently threw money down the drain. Still, they got off lightly, considering how bad it could have been if they had been obliged to purchase the player.
🚨 Nicolas Jackson is expected to return to Chelsea this summer because his lack of game time at Bayern Munich means the Bundesliga club are unlikely to trigger an obligation-to-buy clause in the Senegal forward's loan agreement.

This way, thanks to the clause according to which Jackson had to clock at least 45 minutes in at least 40 matches, Bayern got off the hook, as the 24-year-old made only 22 appearances and hit the minutes target in just seven of them.
Given his playing time (around half an hour per game), his record of five goals and one assist wasn't that bad. However, those aren't the numbers that can compete with Harry Kane's, as the Englishman has bagged 41 goals in 35 games so far in the season.
Hence, Jackson's return to Stamford Bridge is imminent, though some questions remain open.
How long will he stay there? Will Liam Rosenior give him a chance, or will Chelsea try to offload him again - perhaps permanently this time?
