Homeboyz were not part of the FKF Cup and do not have a fixture in round 20 of the FKFPL
Kakamega Homeboyz striker Allan Wanga has said that the team is on the right track and in high spirits ahead of league resumption following a two weeks break to pave way for the FKF Cup action.
Homeboyz have been out of action since their round 19 fixture against Posta Rangers and will not feature until round 21 against Nairobi City Stars
Wanga also said that the two wins on the trot have boosted morale around the team and everyone is in high spirits.
"So far everything is good. We are on the right track. We had a slow start but now the players have picked up, everyone is doing well. The morale is high, we have won the last two games and we hope to pick up from that," Wanga said.

Wanga admitted that the Kakamega-based side had a slow start to the season, posting a run of poor results but said that they have since corrected that and they are raring to go again and produce even better results.
In their first seven games, Homeboy managed only five points, coming from one win in the season opener against Vihiga United and two draws against Posta Rangers and Nzoia United.
Since resumption of footballing activities in mid May, the Nicholas Muyoti side have won two of their three matches. The two wins have been characterized by high scoring, as they have netted seven times in three matches and conceded once.

Thus, Wanga has said that when the league resumes, they will take up from where they left in the win against Posta Rangers. They will resume their campaign against another inform team in the league Nairobi City Stars who will be seeking to bounce back after being dumped out of the FKF Cup in the quarterfinal by Bidco United.
The widely travelled striker also mentioned that they have been engaging in friendlies to keep fit now that they were not part of the FKF Cup, adding that preparations for resumption are in top gear.
"The preparations are top notch, we have been engaging in friendlies to keep in shape and we will pick up from where we left," the former Tusker and AFC Leopards striker said.
