Juventus' Argentinean-born prospect politely declined the offer to represent the Italian national team
You can change clubs, but you cannot change what's in your heart. Matias Soule, Juventus' talented midfielder, only has room for one nation in his heart - and that's Argentina.
The 20-year-old talented midfielder, who currently plays on loan for Frosinone in Serie A, has attracted interest from Italy due to his remarkable performances this season. However, he has made it clear that he is waiting for Argentina. The boy must have heard that Lionel Scaloni, the coach of the Argentina national team, has his eye on several young talents playing in Europe - him included.
Despite the potential opportunity to play for Italy, Soule has expressed his strong desire to represent Argentina. When Luciano Spalletti, Italy's coach, showed interest in having him join the Italian national team, Soule replied that despite his Italian roots - he feels Argentinean.
"I spoke with Spalletti and told him the truth, that I feel Argentine. I thanked him for wanting me, and then I also spoke with Walter Samuel, who told me that they had provisionally called me up. I'm waiting for Argentina. I don't know if it will happen now or later, but I'm Argentine in either case. I was born there, and my heart always says Argentina."
Soule, who was born in Mar del Plata, a city on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, has a dream of making a name for himself in football. He's making strides toward achieving that dream and has been part of Juventus' first team and even scored a goal for them in a friendly against Cesena in July 2021. He is left-footed, just like his idol Lionel Messi.

Scaloni has recognized Soule's potential and included him in Argentina's pre-call-up list for the upcoming matches against Uruguay and Brazil in the South American World Cup Qualifiers. However, it's important to note that being on the pre-call-up list doesn't guarantee his presence in the final squad.
This winger's journey to Italy includes stops at clubs like Argentinean clubs Argentinos del Sud, Kimberley, Velez, and Juventus in Italy. He was loaned to Frosinone to gain more playing time and has quickly become a key player, scoring five goals in eight Serie A matches.
