Spurs captain could follow in the footsteps of their former skipper, Hugo Lloris, and join the MLS side Los Angeles FC
On January 21, 2024, after 12 years with Tottenham Hotspur, Hugo Lloris left the North London side and joined the US Los Angeles FC as a free agent. At that point, the Frenchman had been Spurs' captain for eight years, and their arguably best player, Son Heung-min, succeeded him.
Just a year and a half later, history could repeat itself in the English capital, as the Korean could soon join his former teammate in California, at least that's what The Guardian claims.

Son has entered the final year of his contract with Spurs, and their new boss, Thomas Frank, was rather mysterious when asked about the forward's status and future, which fueled the rumours about his imminent departure.
So far, no official offer has been made, though The Guardian states that one will come shortly from Los Angeles.
Even though Spurs' move for Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White failed, they still have some decent offensive firepower, embodied in Richarlison, James Maddison, Mathys Tel, Dominic Solanke, Dejan Kulusevski, Brennan Johnson, Manor Solomon, Wilson Odobert, and the newcomer from West Ham, Mohammed Kudus.
Either way, Spurs' skipper will stay with the club on its Asian tour, where they'll face Arsenal in Hong Kong and Newcastle in Son's homeland, South Korea.
