Six months after the tragic death of Ghanaian international Christian Atsu, his girlfriend Marie-Claire Rupio expressed a heartfelt desire that his memory remains.
In an exclusive interview with BBC, Rupio opens up about the former Chelsea and Newcastle winger. The tragic Black Star lost his life in the devastating earthquakes that struck parts of Turkey and Syria in February.
These earthquakes claimed the lives of more than 50,000 individuals, and on the 18th of February, almost two weeks after the disaster struck, the 31-year-old footballer's body was discovered amidst the wreckage of his home in Antakya.

"For me, it's very important that his name is still there, especially for the children, that he was known, that he was loved by everybody. I just hope that his name will never go away."
