Harambee Stars have been handed a favourable draw in the First Round of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) after drawing South Sudan.
Kenya has however already qualified for the tournament by virtue of being one of the three hosts alongside Uganda and Tanzania.
Should Kenya get past South Sudan they will book a date with the winner between Djibouti and Rwanda in the Second Round.
The tournament is from Saturday 1 to Friday 28 February 2025 and is for the first time ever in the competition's history it is set to be hosted by three countries.
Ahead of the finals, two rounds of qualifiers will take place on a home and away basis.
The first round of qualifiers will be played on the weekend of Friday 25 – Sunday 27 October and Friday 1 – Sunday 3 November 2024, with the second round confirmed for Friday 20 – Sunday 22 December and Friday 27 – Sunday 29 December 2024.
The Union of North African Football (UNAF) will not be taking part in the qualifiers with Morocco, Lybia and Tunisia qualifying directly to the tournament.
