Gor Mahia seeking to continue dominance over Talanta

K'Ogalo have won the previous two league meetings between the sides
Kenyan record champions Gor Mahia have a go third on the log when they face off with FC Talanta at Kasarani Stadium on Thursday in a Round 12 encounter.
K'Ogalo are currently fourth on 20 [points and a win against the Ken Kenyatta-coached side would see them go past KCB on goal difference with two matches at hand.
FC Talanta on the other hand are dangling dangerously just above the relegation zone with only eight points from nine matches, with an upset win over Gor Mahia pushing them past Bandari FC to 11th on the log.
The two have met only twice in the league, both coming last season, with Gor Mahia winning in both instances.
In their first-ever encounter, Austine Odhiambo scored a brace as K'Ogalo won 2-0 while in the second encounter, Peter Lwasa netted a brace as well with Rodgers Angal finding the consolation.
A win for the Jonathan McKinstry side will further put them in a better mood for the Mashemeji Derby that is set to be played this Sunday at the Nyayo Stadium.
