K'Ogalo have a four point lead over Tusker who have played a game less.

A slip up against Sofapaka on Wednesday saw Tusker FC narrow the gap between them and leaders Gor Mahia at the top of the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) to just four points with a game to spare.

K'Ogalo settled for a frustrating barren draw against the Batoto Ba Mungu at Kasarani Stadium, while a late winner saw the Brewers pick maximum points against AFC Leopards at Nyayo.

Yet, Gor Mahia coach Johnathan McKinstry is satisfied with the level of performance his side has given in the past few games, and is not feeling any pressure.

"Everyone takes a snapshot. You don't look at the games to come. Everyone has got a lot of difficult games," the Irishman said.

"Our points per game is the highest this season, and we just have to keep doing it. If we maintain the form we've had in the last five games, we'll maintain the top spot for the entire season," the former Uganda Cranes and Rwanda manager said as he expects Police FC, KCB FC and Tusker FC to keep them on toes the entire run.

"We expect it to be a tight last two months of the season. There are a lot of big games coming; against Tusker FC, Police FC and AFC Leopards, but our opponents equally have tough matches lined up. But for us the quality we're showing is good enough and we're confident looking forward,” he stated.

Gor Mahia signed eight players in the just shut February-March transfer window. On his debut, Ugandan striker Patrick Kaddu netted a hattrick against hapless Vihiga Bullets FC, but has since endured a two-match goal drought.

With the depth, McKinstry has kept tinkering with his match-day lineup, leaving question marks, but he offers that the new faces have brought in more quality in the squad.

"The quality of training was always good, but it has gone up a level. The level of play has equally taken a big step up; against Vihiga and Sofapaka, it was evident."

K'Ogalo's next outing will be against exciting Kariobangi Sharks at Kasarani Stadium on Sunday. The first leg ended in a draw.
