The Ugandan tactician passed away earlier today after a short illness
Former Sofapaka and Tusker FC head coach Sam Timbe has passed away
The veteran coach died on Saturday afternoon while being transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU) over unspecified ailment.
His club URA FC has released a statement announcing his demise. The club did not give much details on the cause of the death.

URA has been preparing for the FUFA Super 8 Cup final against KCCA FC scheduled for Sunday at Philip Omondi Stadium, Kampala.
"At the moment, the team is in camp at Standard Hotel, Kampala ahead of the FUFA Super 8 cup scheduled for Sunday."
Timbe joined Tusker in January 2018 after the club broke ranks with another Ugandan George 'Best' Nsimbe.
His stay was however short lived as he was sacked after just 11 games following a string of poor results.
The veteran gaffer won the FKFPL Cup with Sofapaka in 2014 before moving on to Uganda Premier League side Police FC.
His other outstanding records in the career include, winning league titles with SC Villa of Uganda, Atraco of Rwanda and Young Africans of Tanzania.
His job also yielded fruits at the CECAFA Kagame Cup-lifting the title four times with various teams to become one of the most colourful coaches in East Africa.
