Waw made a return to the Tanzanian Premier League to join the Mwanza-based club after previous spells with Biashara United and Kagera Sugar FC.
At Pamba Jiji, the former Chemelil Sugar FC goalkeeper will join head coach Francis Baraza whom they have worked together in his previous spells in Tanzania as well as at Homeboyz.
The former Sofapaka goalkeepers' coach, who was unveiled on Wednesday, 30 July, took to his Facebook account to send a farewell message to a club he called family.
“Kakamega Homeboyz Football Club, my beloved family. Today, I say goodbye with a heart full of gratitude to this amazing club.
For three seasons, we've been together, pushed each other to greater limits, laughed and grown together. I've shared immense, unforgettable memories with you, great people,” reads the opening part of Waw’s post.
The former Oserian custodian went ahead to appreciate the management of the Mozzart Bet-sponsored side and the team's faithful, even as he departed.
“To the Management led by the patron Cleophas Toto Shimanyula, I say thank you so much. A new chapter and challenge are calling...
To the fans, thank you so much for the love and push, you're great people. Wishing you all the very best. Asante sana Abana Beingo💛💚,” he concluded.
The 39-year-old has been one of the best goalkeeping coaches in the country in the recent past, attracting the interest of several clubs who have admired his skills as well as his professionalism.
The former Kagera Sugar FC coach is also the goalkeeping coach of the Kenya Women's U17 team.
Waw was the favourite to take on the vacant Gor Mahia goalkeepers' coach job at Kenyan giants Gor Mahia but turned down the offer at the last minute, preferring to link up with Baraza at Pamba Jiji.
Kakamega Homeboyz are now working around the clock to not only find a head coach but also a goalkeepers' coach ahead of the new season.
