The Congolese striker made the remarks after his early opener earned Homeboyz a crucial point in their 1–1 draw against KCB FC at Bukhungu Stadium on Sunday, 30 November.
Bendeka struck just three minutes into the contest, but KCB’s Boniface Omondi restored parity shortly after, forcing the two sides to settle for a share of the spoils.
Speaking to Mozzart Sport, the former Gor Mahia man expressed relief at finally breaking his prolonged goal drought, which had stretched six months and 10 league matches since the season began.
"My target for the season, after scoring against KCB, is to get a goal in every match, provided I receive the playing time I need and which I have lacked for a long while,” Bendeka said.

His previous goal came on 27 April, when Gor Mahia thrashed Mara Sugar FC 4–0.
Since joining Homeboyz in September, Bendeka has featured in four matches and admitted that pressure to deliver had been steadily mounting.
"It felt relieving to finally score my debut goal for the club and for the season. It has been a long wait since I last scored, and honestly, the pressure had increased, especially within the team, because I had not found the net since September,” he reflected.
The 26-year-old described the goal as a vital turning point, insisting it had injected much-needed belief into his campaign.
"The goal was a confidence booster that I really needed to kickstart my season. Hopefully, now that I have netted my first in four matches, it will give me the confidence and set the tone for the rest of the campaign.”
Bendeka will now be aiming to score in back-to-back matches when Kakamega Homeboyz face Shabana FC in their next league outing, as he looks to ignite a consistent run and cement his place in the starting lineup.
