The 26-year-old midfielder arrived at Posta with a ton of experience from spells including a four-year run with Nzoia Sugar FC and league-winning seasons with Gor Mahia and, later, Nairobi City Stars.
At Rangers this season, the midfielder quickly established himself as one of the team’s key figures in the middle of the park.
Calm on the ball, disciplined defensively, and vocal in organizing the side, but these strong first-leg performances could not have predicted that he wouldn’t go all the way to the end.
Rangers’ clash against AFC Leopards SC proved uneventful for him, as what appeared to be a simple knock ruled him out not only for the game but also for the remainder of the season. But still, Juma remains positive throughout the recovery process.
“It was very difficult accepting that the season was over for me because I felt I was playing some really good football,” Juma says. “But injuries are part of the game, and I have focused on staying strong mentally and recovering well.”
The midfielder says support from teammates, coaches, and family has helped him stay motivated during rehabilitation.
“I’m doing well, and the recovery process has been encouraging. The medical team and everyone at the club have supported me a lot. I appreciate the belief they have shown in me,” he continues.
Despite missing a chunk of the second half of the campaign, Juma speaks warmly about his first year at Posta Rangers and believes the move has been an important chapter in his career.
“I have really enjoyed my first season here. From the players to the technical bench and the fans, everyone welcomed me well,” he said. “I honestly appreciate being part of this club because it has given me a good environment to play and express myself.”
The midfielder remains optimistic about the future and is already looking ahead to making a full return next season as Rangers are now preparing for their final league match of the season against Ulinzi Stars FC.
“I’m focused on coming back stronger. Sometimes moments like these test you as a player, but I believe everything happens for a reason. My target now is to recover fully and help the team even more next season.”
