Div II side re-appoint Ondieki ahead of resumption of league
Division two side Butterfly FC have re-appointed Shem Ondieki as their new head coach ahead of the resumption of the league later in the month.
Ondieki ditched the Ruiru based club in January 2018 for National Super League (NSL) outfit FC Talanta who headhunted him to deputize Abdallah Juma but he has returned on a six-month contract.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) level C coaching badge holder was a free agent after parting ways with Division One outfit Transmara Sugar in January.

Asked on his plans, Ondieki, a striker in his youthful days pledged to fire the club back to the second tier, a league they were part of six years ago.

"If I managed to help Transmara gain promotion to Division One, then I can also do it with Butterfly. The team does not deserve to be in the fourth tier. I will try my best to help the team find its way back to the second tier," he promised.
The former Meru County team coach in the meanwhile admitted that Butterfly won his signature ahead of the other suitors thanks to their bumper package.
Besides tutoring Butterfly, the former Sony Sugar forward will also handle the Kiambu Training Institute team as well as that of the Nairobi Institute of Business Studies (NIBS).
