Utalii and ASK Nakuru Showground have been banned by the Caretaker Committee.

A number of Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) clubs will have to seek alternatives to host their home matches after the Football Kenya Federation Caretaker Committee banned the use of ASK Nakuru Showground and the Utalii Grounds.

The Committee sanctioned the ASK Nakuru Showground for its poor playing surface after Ulinzi Stars resorted to using the grounds with the Afraha Stadium currently undergoing renovations.

In a letter seen by Mozzart Sport addressed to the Ulinzi Stars chairman, the Caretaker Committee asked the club to host their home matches in a different venue.

“Upon review of the current state of the pitch of the ASK Nakuru Showground football field, be advised that the FKF Caretaker Committee has deemed the ground unsuitable for use.

Kindly make arrangements to reschedule your home matches to another venue,” read the letter from the Committee.

The Utalii Grounds which has mostly been utilized by Kariobangi Sharks as their home ground was banned for failing to have a parameter wall that posed a security threat.

“Kindly note that the Utalii Grounds is banned from hosting league matches due to its lack of a perimeter fence which poses a risk to the safety and security of players and match officials.

As such, be advised to reschedule matches slotted to be played there to other venues,” read a communication from the Committee.

This comes as a huge blow to the Soldiers who were set to host KCB FC at the ASK Nakuru Showground on Saturday but will now have to pursue a different stadium.
