FKF Leagues to proceed despite SDT ruling

FKF says it is yet to be served with the recent SDT ruling that says NEC had no legal standing to annul leagues run by the Transition Committee
Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has announced that its leagues will proceed as usual despite a recent ruling by the Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT) that basically overruled Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba's decision to restore FKF's National Executive Committee (NEC).
NEC nullified all leagues that were run by the FKF Caretaker Committee and what that meant is that there would be no relegation and promotion in the top-tier, the National Super League, Division One and the Women Premier League (WPL), a decision that was obviously contested by some affected clubs.
Ohaga's recent ruling therefore threw the recently restarted leagues into a pandemonium but FKF insists its league will proceed as usual as they are yet to receive the ruling.
"The tribunal delivered its decisions orally in highlights but most of it was not read out to the parties. Regrettably, the tribunal is yet to transmit its written decisions to us at close of business today even though the matter has been subject of various media reports," a statement by FKF reads in part,
"In the absence of the Tribunal's written decisions, the Federation remains guided by Article 3.1.2 of the FKF Rules and Regulations Governing Kenyan Football (2019) which states that "Clubs shall be notified of fixture and / or kick off times changes, in writing at least seventy two (72) hours prior to the match." and therefore all matches / fixtures will proceed as earlier scheduled."
