Austrian has put on the shirt of his new club and addressed Los Blancos fans in surprisingly good Spanish
Real Madrid planned to officially show off their big signing in form of David Alaba at the Santiago Bernabeu after the Euro 2020 tournament, but the Austrian could not wait - he presented himself on social network and gave a few words to the fans eager to see the new acquisition of their beloved club.
A video appeared on social networks in which the former Bayern first team player and one of the best universal players of today greets Real's fans in Spanish.

“Hola, how’s it going Madridistas? I’m really proud to form part of the club and I’m really excited to meet you all soon. ¡HALA MADRID!” Alaba said in the video.
A reminder, the Austrian arrived in Madrid as a free agent, after his contract with the Bavarians expired, and according to unofficial reports, he will collect around 14.6 million USD (1.5 billion KSH) a year in the new club. The contract was signed for five years.
Numerous clubs have shown interest in the reliable defender in the previous months, most often Barcelona and Chelsea were mentioned, but Alaba's wish was to continue his career at Real Madrid.
The 28-year-old has played in a multitude of roles, including central midfield and right and left wing, but primarily played as a centre-back or left-back. Alaba has made over 400 appearances for Bayern Munich since 2010, winning 27 honours including ten Bundesliga titles and the UEFA Champions League in 2013 and 2020.
Born in Vienna, Austria of Nigerian descent, Alaba was involved in quite a saga before putting pen to paper at Bernabeu as the question of earnings and agent's percentages took some time to be resolved.
