England beat Italy 3-1 after coming from behind at Wembley to book their place at the European Championship
England confirmed their qualification for the Euro 2024 after coming from behind to beat Italy 3-1 at Wembley on Tuesday night.
Gareth Southgate's side only needed a point to book their ticket to Germany. However, the start of the match wasn't too promising for the hosts as former West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca netted against the run of play from close range after just 15 minutes.

Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham stepped up then, as England's talisman, to create a stunning comeback. Bellingham was taken down in the rival's box for a penalty kick, which Harry Kane converted into an equalizer (his 60th goal for his country).

It was Bellingham's wonderful run and pass that allowed Marcus Rashford to cut inside and beat Italy keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma just before the hour for 2-1. Finally, the impeccable England captain Harry Kane wrapped up the game when he raced clear to score England's third with 13 minutes left.
Luciano Spalletti's Italy, meanwhile, now risk missing out on a second consecutive major tournament, the defeat leaving them on 10 points, three behind Ukraine, albeit having played one game less.
