A hat-trick from Kelvin Etemesi coupled with a strike from Richard Omondi were all that the Bankers needed to cancel out a Philip Wasai brace in the first half.
The match began at a slow pace, with KCB's Nashon Wekesa and Anthony Naibei from APS suffering knocks that needed medical attention.
APS were the first to grow into the game, with the experienced Francis Omondi taking charge of proceedings in midfield.
Courtesy of their bright start, APS were also the recipients of the first big chance of the game, Edward Masembe picking up a loose ball in the box after a defensive mix-up from a corner, but his shot went over the bar in the 15th minute

The Mozzart Bet-sponsored side were not to be denied in the 21st minute when Philip Wasai received a pass inside the box and placed his strike past Arnold Monzobo and into the back of the net.
The Bankers reacted well to going down, attempting shots from outside the box courtesy of Stephen Etyang and Boniface Omondi, but it was not until the 29th minute that their efforts bore fruit.
From outside the 18-yard area, Kelvin Etemesi dummied Masembe and once in the box, unleashed a shot that went in with the assistance of the post.
However, their joy lasted just four minutes as Wasai got to the end of a Rodgers Kipkemboi cross and tapped the ball home for APS' second of the afternoon, a lead that they took to halftime.

KCB came back in the second half as a rejuvenated side, playing with more urgency as they sought to chase their third consecutive win.
For their troubles, they found an equaliser in the 51st minute through a sublime Etemesi bicycle kick.
Buoyed by the goal, KCB turned on the screw and, for the first time in the match, took the lead in the 53rd minute through Richard Omondi, who scored a ferocious shot into the net.
Omondi’s goal seemed to have demotivated APS, who were now on the back foot as KCB added salt to injury in the 61st minute through Etemesi, who unleashed a surprise shot outside the box that caught Delton Oyo unawares to complete his hat-trick.

The Bankers are now top of the league with 21 points after the hat-trick of wins.
