The reigning FKF Cup champions went into the match in inspiring form after a forgettable start to the season and were sixth on the log with 22 points, while Madira were ninth with 16 points.
Madira started the match like a house on fire and scored inside the first minute to immediately put the pressure on the hosts.
Kibera pushed for an immediate response, but Madira were efficient in defense and took their lead to the break.
The Kibra-based side upped the ante in pursuit of a goal in the second half and got their reward in the 54th minute when Grace Wekesa got to the end of a Ruth Kurgat pass and directed her strike into the back of the net.
Buoyed by the goal, Kibera continued piling pressure on Madira and got a second four minutes later through Esse Akida, who, from a Pauline Ochieng pass, directed her strike to the bottom left corner and past the goalkeeper.
Both teams pushed for further goals, Kibera to kill the game and Madira to secure a point, but neither was successful as the match ended 2-1 in favour of Kibera, who remain sixth with an improved 25 points.
