Joshua Zirkzee, 23, agrees on personal terms with the Old Trafford club

Manchester United have agreed on a personal terms with Bologna's Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee, who is about to join the Old Trafford club after two successfull seasons at Serie A.

Another Italian side, AC Milan, were apparently interested in signing Zirkzee, but the 23-year-old is now on the verge of joining the EPL giants after the Rossonerri's failure to reach an agreement with Bologna.

It has been said that talks are underway with the Serie A outfit over the details of how the £34million release clause will be paid.

United are desperately looking for improvements in the attacking line following Anthony Martial's exit and the struggles in front of goal from their current forwards during the previous Premier League campaign.

Zirkzee, whose father is Nigerian, was born and raised in the Netherlands and has spent the majority of his senior career as a Bayern Munich player. After loan spells at Parma and Anderlecht, Zirkzee moved to Bologna in 2022, where he scored 13 goals in 53 appearances.

At the same time, another Dutchman is about to leave the Old Trafford. Donny van de Beek is reportedly on the verge of signing for La Liga side Girona as he looks to revive his career.

He had a difficult time in England after his highly anticipated move to United from Ajax, but he didn't live up to expectations.
