Belgium keeper accuses FIFA and UEFA of the unbearable rhythm regarding a global football calendar
Like that incredible Micheal Jackson song, a Belgium keeper Thibaut Courtois has spoken the truth ...
"They don't really care about us."
Or if you prefer some younger singers, they say:
"It's not about the money, we don't need your money, we just wanna make the world dance, forget about the price tag."
That's the summary of Thibaut Courtois' last night's monologue following the UEFA Nations League third-place match defeat to Italy. The Real Madrid keeper pointed out that it's probably the most pointless match of the year, even before the game.
And he didn't hesitate to be vocal in the aftermath of the 2-1 loss.
"This game is just a money game, and we have to be honest about it," said Courtois and added:
🗣️ "They don't care about the players they just care about their pockets."

"We just play it because for UEFA. It's extra money.
"Look at how much both teams changed [line-ups]. If both teams had been in the final, other players would have played.
"This just shows that we play too many games."
"They can be angry about other teams wanting a Super League, but they don't care about the players. They just care about their pockets.
"It's a bad thing that players are not spoken about. And now you hear about a European Championship and a World Cup every year, when will we get a rest? Never."
"We are not robots! It's just more and more games, and less rest for us and nobody cares about us," concluded Courtois.
