Hence, the home fans took matters into their hands, destroying stadium facilities at the end of the game. They tore down dugouts and clashed with police.

The invasion forced the joyful Black Stars players, who were celebrating their victory, into the dressing room and the stadium security attempted to disperse the crowd with teargas.

Clips uploaded onto social media showed fans rushing out of the stands and pushing over dugouts and advertising boards before being chased by police.
