The Catalans have at last paid all the bonuses to Borussia Dortmund, included in the Frenchman's deal
Many still consider Barcelona did not get anything but problems from his transfer - financial in the first place. He would occasionally shine, but after all, Ousmane Dembele was nowhere near justifying the vast sum invested in him. However, if anything, Barca managed to deal with one thing - paying all the bonuses included in Dembele's deal to Borussia Dortmund. The total amount spent on him was the biggest in the club's history - €148 million.
Barcelona have now paid all the bonuses included in Ousmane Dembélé’s contract to Borussia Dortmund after the former Barça winger scored one more goal for France.

The winger joined the Catalans in August 2017 at the age of 20, with the reputation of an incredible prospect and talent who enchanted the football world with his outstanding speed capabilities. Barcelona took the bait, broke the bank, and splashed out €105 million plus €43 million through various bonuses. All that was enabled thanks to Neymar's €222 million worth of transfer to Paris Saint-Germain 22 days earlier.
Ever since joining Barca, Dembele has unsuccessfully tried to establish himself as one of the main players. Still, numerous injury issues, problematic behaviour off the pitch, and stalling the contract extension ultimately led to his move to Paris Saint-Germain for "only" €50 million. Luckily for the Frenchman, Barcelona fans quickly forgot about him, given that his replacement, Philippe Coutinho, performed even worse and at times seemed to have forgotten how to play football. Fortunately for the Catalans, the fans won't have to watch either of the two anymore, while the club will be able to focus on solving the financial damage.
