Chelsea's veteran, 33, is eager to join Inter Milan after 11 years spent at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea defender and long-standing captain Cesar Azpilicueta is reportedly close to joining Inter Milan.

As per Sky Sports Italia, Azpi is working to terminate his contract with the Blues so that he can join the Nerazzurri in this transfer window.

The 33-year-old veteran is not expected to feature in Chelsea's plans next season and wants to move on.

The Nerazzurri are set to lose Milan Skriniar to PSG, so they are looking for a new defender that won't cost them too much, and Azpilicueta's price tag doesn't seem to be an issue there.

Moreover, the Spaniard seems to be keen to join the Champions League runners-up after 11 years spent at Stamford Bridge.

Azpilicueta, who joined Chelsea back in 2012 from Marseille, has gone on to score 17 goals across 508 games in all competitions for the Blues, notably being a favourite under Thomas Tuchel, making 80 appearances while the German was in charge at the club.
