On top of earning the ticket to represent the region at the main event later in the year in Morocco, the winner will pocket at least Ksh 3M,with the second and third place finishers taking home two and one million respectively.

Tanzania giants Simba Queens will take on the champions from Uganda She Corporate in the final of the 2022 CAF Women Champions League CECAFA region qualifiers this evening at the Azam Complex in Tanzania.

The two sides met in the group stage, with Simba Queens winning 2-0 courtesy of goals from Kenyan international Corazone Vivian Aquino and Falonne Kuzoya and thus it will be a revenge mission for She Corporate while Simba hope to do a double over them in the competition.

After completing their group stage sojourn unblemished, Simba Queens saw off AS Kigali WFC 5-1, again with the Kenyan midfielder scoring, this time a brace, while She Corporate edged out of the favorites in the competition Commercial Bank of Ethiopia 2-1.

She Corporate's coach Charles Lukula Ayiekoh believes that although the Tanzanian side is a good one, they know their strengths and weaknesses from the group match.

“Simba is a very good team with many skillful players. But we played them before in the group stage and know their strength and weaknesses,” the tactician said as quoted on CECAFAonline.

His counterpart on the Simba bench, Leonard Sebastian Nkoma, has made it clear that they will approach the match with all the seriousness it deserves.

“This is a final and we must respct our opponents, but use tactics that will win us the match,” he said.

Before the final, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, last year’s runners-up, will take on AS Kigali WFC in a play-off match to decide which team takes third place.

The final is set for a 7 PM EAT kick off.
