Experienced Barca's players are in talks with the club boardroom to reduce their salaries
Sunny days are over in Barcelona.
Sure, here we are not talking about the weather forecast (since the summer in Spain is all but cloudy and cold). It's the Blaugrana financial struggle that worries their fans across the globe. Those difficulties allegedly led to Lionel Messi's departure and could easily harm even Barcelona's day-to-day survival.

It came to such a level that even some players voluntarily stepped up to save their own club. That's what, for example, Gerard Pique did. In the last seconds before La Liga's 2021/2022 season kick-off, he agreed to a salary cut so Catalan giants could register their new-signing trio: Memphis Depay, Eric Garcia and Rey Manaj.
Depay's presence will be substantial in tonight home clash against Real Sociedad after Barca's attacking line suffered a tremendous loss with Messi's exit.
Ronald Koeman has plenty of issues to deal with in a locker room, but at least he'll be able to use all of the potential newcomers in the squad. Thanks to unselfish Pique.

"The club is also continuing to work with two of the other captains, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, to adapt their salaries to the club's current situation. It must be noted that both players are totally and utterly willing to cooperate," concluded FCB in their statement.
