Porto sit top of the standings with 62 points from 23 matches, boasting a formidable record of 20 wins, two draws and just one defeat.

Their goal difference of +37 highlights both attacking consistency and defensive authority. Across their last six matches in all competitions, Porto have won four, drawn once and lost once, averaging 1.67 goals scored and just 0.67 conceded per game.

Notably, they have kept clean sheets in four of those six fixtures, including narrow 1-0 league wins over Rio Ave and Nacional, and a commanding 3-0 success against Gil Vicente.

Defensively, they have been exceptional all season, conceding only seven goals in 23 league games - an average of just 0.30 per match - while registering 17 clean sheets, the most in the division.

At home, Porto remains a different proposition altogether. Their structure, compact rest-defence, and disciplined back line make them extremely difficult to break down. Even in high-profile matches, such as the 1-1 draw with Sporting, they limited chances effectively.

However, they will be without several players, including defenders Thiago Silva and Jacob Kiwior, while midfielder Alan Varela and striker Luke De Jong are also sidelined.

Despite these absences, attacking depth remains strong, with Samu Aghehowa leading the scoring charts with 13 goals, while creative outlets such as André Costa and Gabri Veiga continue to supply from midfield.

Arouca, meanwhile, arrive in a confident mood despite sitting 11th with 26 points.

Their season has been inconsistent overall (seven wins, five draws, 11 defeats), but recent form suggests improvement.

They have won four of their last six matches, scoring an impressive 2.17 goals per game in that run while conceding 1.17.

Five of those six fixtures produced over 2.5 goals, underlining their open, attack-minded approach. Recent victories include 3-0 against Nacional, 3-2 over Vitória Guimarães and a 3-0 away win at Rio Ave.

Away from home, Arouca have shown resilience and attacking intent, though defensive vulnerabilities persist.

They concede an average of 2.13 goals per league match this season, one of the highest tallies in the division. Injuries in midfield - including Tiago Esgaio, Mateo Flores and Pedro Santos could limit balance against Porto’s structured press.

Nonetheless, forward Alfonso Trezza, with eight goals and three assists, remains their primary threat in transition.

Head-to-head history strongly favours Porto. They have won eight of the last 10 meetings, including a 4-0 victory earlier this campaign.

The last three encounters have seen at least one side keep a clean sheet, and Porto have averaged 2.33 goals per match in recent H2H clashes.

Key Betting Pointers;

  • Porto lead the league with 17 clean sheets, conceding in just six of 23 matches
  • They have allowed only seven goals all season, averaging 0.30 conceded per game
  • Porto shut out Arouca in their 4-0 victory earlier this campaign
  • Each of the last three Porto - Arouca clashes has seen at least one side keep a clean sheet

While Arouca’s recent scoring surge is noteworthy, facing the league’s most disciplined defence at the Dragão presents a far greater challenge.

Porto’s structure, compactness and game control should limit clear chances.

Prediction: Both Teams to Score - No
