Liverpool have found their way to another Premier League victory after coming from behind to beat rock-bottom Southampton 3-1 on Saturday at Anfield. The Reds have now moved 16 points clear at the top the table, although Arsenal have two games in hand.

It was visible that Arne Slot's side - without the man himself in the dugout due to a ban - wasn't that much interested in the game which came between the two Champions League battles against PSG.

The visitors did their best to make the most of it, as Will Smallbone took advantage of a miscommunication between Virgil van Dijk and Alisson to score from a tight angle in the dying seconds of the first half.

However, the Reds made a triple substitution at half-time, and things improved for Liverpool almost instantly. Darwin Nunez continued with his somewhat surprising streak, levelling the score before being fouled by Smallbone for a penalty. Mohamed Salah netted, of course, for a total comeback, later adding one more from the spot for a brace and 3-1.

Liverpool's attention now shifts to the crucial return leg against PSG at Anfield on Tuesday night.
