Stuttgart threw the first punch, but ended up knocked down, as Olise, Goretzka, and Coman directed Bayern's comeback and secured a 3-1 triumph
Last season, Stuttgart managed to finish above Bayern Munich, but the Bavarians' ruthless revenge is complete! After the 4-0 triumph at Allianz Arena in October, Vincent Kompany's men beat the Swabians in Stuttgart as well, this time 3-1.
Despite the home team's lead, the Munich side managed to come from behind and win, thanks to Michael Olise, Leon Goretzka, and Kingsley Coman. Stuttgart's only scorer, Angelo Stiller, was ultimately the biggest loser of the game, as he made a horrendous mistake prior to Goretzka's goal, which gave Bayern the lead.

In a pretty equal first half, neither team wanted to defend, as both Stuttgart and Bayern played "with their guards down." After all, 14 attempts in total (six on target) before the break speak volumes. Josha Vagnoman on one side and Jamal Musiala on the other wasted excellent chances in the opening 25 minutes. And while the Bavarians' forward's shot went wide, Manuel Neuer stopped Stuttgart's defender and saved his team.
Yet, even the 38-year-old couldn't do anything in the 34th minute when Angelo Stiller opened the scoring, only three minutes after Deniz Undav wasted a colossal chance. And when everyone thought the Swabians would await the break in front, Michael Olise levelled in the ultimate minute of the first period to Leroy Sane's perfect assist.

After a quite nervous opening of the second period and two quick yellow cards - one at each side - the Bavarians made a complete comeback in the 64th minute, as Stuttgart's initial hero, Stiller, lost the ball in his own box, allowing Leon Goretzka to find the net and turn the tables - 2-1!

In the last half an hour, both managers made several subs. On the one hand, Sebastian Hoeness tried to wake his team up and chase the equalizer, while Vincent Kompany strengthened his defence. Finally, during Stuttgart's desperate attempts to level, Bayern netted the third goal over Kingsley Coman in the last minute after another home team's huge error, putting the cherry on top of another vital victory, which keeps them firmly on the top of the Bundesliga table.
