The Catalan club’s targets are now the biggest stars of Bayern and Dortmund
FC Barcelona is preparing a significant attacking overhaul for the summer of 2026 — but the search for reinforcements doesn’t stop there. The defensive line is also under heavy scrutiny.
As reported by "Mundo Deportivo", the Spanish champions have dispatched multiple scouts to Germany to evaluate potential targets firsthand. Their radar includes four standout Bundesliga names: Harry Kane, Serhou Guirassy, Dayot Upamecano, and Nico Schlotterbeck.
The situation around Schlotterbeck is especially intriguing. Although his deal with Dortmund runs until 2027, he has repeatedly turned down extension proposals. If BVB can’t secure his signature, their key defender could hit the market in 2026.
Upamecano, meanwhile, is facing an uncertain future of his own. His Bayern contract expires this summer — renewal talks are ongoing, but no agreement has been finalized. Barcelona seems ready to seize the moment.
🚨🚨🌕| BREAKING: Barcelona have realised that they have FAILED to replace Iñigo Martínez — and the club is now actively tracking several centre-backs, including Nico Schlotterbeck, Gonçalo Inácio, Marc Guéhi, Dayot Upamecano and Tylel Tati.

With Inigo Martinez on his way out and the future of Andreas Christensen still unclear, the report claims one thing is certain: sporting director Deco is fully committed to signing a new central defender.
