Barca face Betis today but that's not the worry that causes Laporta's sleepless nights

The Blaurgrana had been denied the chance to register Gavi by La Liga, with President Javier Tebas claiming that Barcelona did not meet the financial fair play rules

Real Madrid bottled it in the previous few weeks, so Barcelona are five points clear at the top of the table. To make that margin even more significant, they ought to top Betis away in the only La Liga tie of the day on Wednesday's menu.

But unlike that potential eight-point lead, the other aspects of Barca's contemporary life are anything but rainbows and butterflies.

According to Football Espana, Barcelona will nervously await the verdict when a judge rules on their case to register one of their most promising prospects Gavi.

Concerning Barcelona is that if they win the legal battle, La Liga may win the war. As per Cadena SER, Gavi's contract is only active if he is registered with the first team. That means should the judge reach a final ruling that Gavi should not be registered, then Gavi could, in theory, leave the club for free in July.
