The player's contract is will expire in December
Harambee Stars midfielder Abdalla Hassan is set to leave Bandari Football Club at the end of the current 2023-24 campaign with several clubs jostling for his signature.
Abdallah was named the club captain at the start of the term after spectacular performances with his boyhood team. The marauding winger has become an integral part of John Baraza's side, putting up impressive numbers since his conversion to the flanks, having initially came through the clubs rank as a right back.
The latest development will conclude the makeshift forward's seven year stay at the club, having linked up with the side in 2016 from Posta Rangers U-20.
In an exclusive interview with one of the online publications, the dynamic forward revealed that his contract with dockers is set to run out in December, and he has already set up his mind to explore greener pastures abroad.
“I have already decided that this is the last year I am playing in Kenya and with Bandari. My lifelong dream has been to go abroad when I leave Bandari and now is the time. All my bosses at Bandari are aware of this, and they have even received calls regarding the issue,” Abdalla offered.
The Mombasa breed right back cum winger who has 11 caps to his name with the National Team Harambee Stars, further hinted that he had received multiple offers from the fast-growing Arabic leagues of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which he is convinced offers a perfect opportunity for his development and cementing a place in the national team.
“I have received numerous offers from Qatar, and there is one in Saudi for the second-tier league. When my contract ends in December, we will discuss with the Bandari management whether I will sign for another six months to finish the season or leave. Life with Bandari has been good and will continue. It is a place with no stress at all, just happiness. The ocean does not dry, you know,” he added.
Abdallah, who last campaign scored thirteen goals to fire Bandari to a sixth-place finish, in a separate interview expressed his ambitions of hitting more than fifteen goals this term and guide Bandari to a silverware as he maps a route back to the National team after missing out in the build up matches against Qatar and Russia.
“My aim right now is to help Bandari win the league, and for me to finish as the top scorer. I finished fourth best scorer last term and I feel I can give more this term and even win the top scorers gong," he concluded.
