Two matches will be live on Azam TV as FKFPL enters Round Eight
Two FKF Premier League matches will be live on Azam TV, with the Tanzanian broadcaster set to televise league matches outside Nairobi for the first time ever.
This will be the third week that Azam will be airing games. They started with the Mashemeji Derby at the start of the month, and last weekend they aired three games, all in Nairobi.
This weekend, their OB Van heads to Nyanza and the Western Regions, with matches set to air on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, they will broadcast the match between Muhoroni Youth and Murang’a Seal live from the Muhoroni Stadium.
The stadium had been banned from hosting the next five league games by FKF’s Leagues and Competitions Committee after fracas and match abandonment were witnessed at the venue earlier this month when Muhoroni Youth hosted KCB.
The club, however, managed to obtain stay orders from the High Court sitting in Kisumu. The match between Muhoroni Youth and Murang’a Seal will start at 4 p.m.
On Sunday, the beaming will be live from Sudi Stadium in Bungoma when struggling sides Nzoia Sugar FC and AFC Leopards face off in what is a must-win game for either side and more so for the Leopards, who are the only winless team in the league this campaign.
