The Canadian was caught drunk behind the wheel of his €200,000 Lamborghini, while his poor form reduced his price by nearly 40%

Alphonso Davies has lately been in the spotlight - not because of his exceptional performances but because Real Madrid are interested in bringing him to Santiago Bernabeu. Today, he's once again a burning issue in the German media, but for a shameful reason.

Namely, according to Bild, Davies was caught drunk driving behind the wheel of his €200,000 Lamborghini. Luckily for him, he was 0.2 per mille away from getting a criminal complaint and got away with a €500 fine and driving licence revocation for a month.

Although Bayern Munich tried to cover up the incident, the media still found out about it, but even more shocking is the information that the club won't penalize the player whatsoever. Moreover, he's expected to take his place in the starting lineup in tomorrow's derby duel against Borussia Dortmund.

Either way, both Davies' performances and behaviour are in the least worrying. As a consequence of his poor form, his price has dropped by almost 40% - from €80 million to €50 million, his contract extension with Bayern is hanging in the balance, while even in Madrid they started reconsidering the decision that the Canadian is the right one to fill the gap on the left flank, although they could sign him as a free agent next June.

And while Davies demands an annual salary of €20 million, Barcelona and his former boss, Hansi Flick, also have him on their radar. Yet, the 24-year-old will have to find a way of getting out of the crisis as soon as possible. Otherwise, he could become another immense talent who ruined his own career...
