The title contenders were on the verge of a excruciating draw at Anfield against Sheffield United, but the Argentine nailed it marvellously for a win
Huh, that was close! Liverpool were almost on the verge of a dreadful home draw against Premier League bottom side Sheffield United before the Reds' saviour stepped in. Again. And Liverpool prevailed, 3-1.
Like in the previous EPL round against Brighton, impeccable Alexis Mac Allister saved the Reds and kept them in the title race with his immaculate skills and character.
Jurgen Klopp's injury-torn side struggled against the soon-to-be-relegated team at packed Anfield, which could have become the place of the Scousers' calvary.

And it didn't seem like that when the Blades' keeper, Ivo Grbic, made a dreadful first-half mistake and handed Liverpool the lead. He waited too long to make a clearance, and when he finally did it, it was so clumsy that the ball hit Darwin Nunez on the backside and bounced in.
It should have gone into a one-way street from there, but instead, Klopp's army shifted into another, lower gear.
After the interval, die-hard visitors pushed for the equalizer and were soon rewarded for that brave approach. And there was a tad bit of luck, as well, there.
Gustavo Hamer's header hit Conor Bradley's ankle and deflected between Kelleher's legs. An own goal for gutted Anfield, 1-1, and the prelude for a proper horror.

Thankfully for Klopp and the Reds' supporters, Liverpool have got a proper jocker upon their sleeve, and it was his time to shine, again. Alexis Mac Allister stepped in with a mouth-watering belter close to the end, causing a brutal eruption in the iconic Kop.
WHAT A BANGER.

Cody Gakpo added another near the final whistle, and the hosts survived the challenge, which no one thought would be that difficult.
The race is still on, and the Reds are there.
