There is currently no deal between the Blues and Atletico Madrid

This summer will be remembered by Conor Gallagher as a nightmare. Regardless of how the saga surrounding the Chelsea player's potential move to Atlético Madrid ends, it's clear that the English international will regret the day he entered negotiations with the "Rojiblancos." Even though all the details of the 40 million euros transfer had already been agreed upon, and the player was already in Madrid, the entire situation took a drastic turn due to Atlético's salary cap limitations. The situation, which lacks an easy solution, has introduced a sense of tension and uncertainty. As a result, the London club has purchased a ticket for Gallagher to return to England on Tuesday. The fact that the central midfielder has been in Spain since Thursday without any significant progress prompted the Blues to take action.

Atlético's management believes the issue could be resolved in the next two or three days, while at the same time, the option to bring João Félix to Stamford Bridge has emerged. According to Portuguese outlet O Jogo, the two clubs have begun negotiations regarding the return of the talented forward to the London club, with the Blues willing to spend 65 million on this transfer—35 million upfront, with the remaining amount to be paid later.

Previously, communication issues between the two clubs led to Samu Omorodion returning to Madrid, and his transfer to Chelsea falling through. The sale of the 21-year-old player for around 40 million was projected to offset the investment in Gallagher, who, according to Spanish media, had already signed the contract. However, given the current situation, the official confirmation of the English midfielder's transfer seems far from being realized.
