After a 'help' from the referee, Bayern need a win to get back on top of the table

The Bavarians are playing at home against the last-placed Hertha
Since they cannot resolve the result crisis on their own, Bayern Munich got ‘help’ from the referee. In last night’s game with Bochum, Dortmund drew 1-1 and allowed the Bavarians to take the top of the table again with a win against last-placed Hertha. Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi was brought down in the box by Bochum defender Danilo Soares when the score was 1-1, but referee Sascha Stegemann declined to use the VAR system to review the contact, which appeared to be a penalty.

“I'm extremely annoyed, I feel like sh*t. It was a very, very short night of sleep, I'm not fine with it. You get up with a bad feeling because you're angry that you didn't make the right decision in a scene. Looking at it, it's a penalty in the situation with Adeyemi for BVB. I didn't see it that way on the pitch. As a referee, I have the right to solve the scene on the pitch without using the video assistant unnecessarily” said the referee today, but it’s too late.
Now it’s up to Bayern to simply win all remaining games and be crowned champions for the 11th consecutive time. And the Bavarians have a much easier schedule than Borussia. For a start, they have three home games, two of which are against relegation-bound teams, Schalke and Hertha. But against the Berlin team, Munich media are only talking about two things: will Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic (or one of them) suffer consequences for this situation, and will Yan Sommer be the starting goalkeeper today?
Much has been written about the executives’ duo in Bayern, but May 22nd will determine their faith, while the Swiss keeper has not been in form in recent weeks, along with the rest of the team, but his mistake, which allowed Mainz to equalize, before eventually winning 3-1 seems to be the biggest problem in the team.
“It is part of goalkeeping that you also have a bit of luck. He doesn't have that at the moment. He deals with criticism the way it should be dealt with. He continues to have our trust. Yann is a top professional and incredibly nice - friendly, polite, self-critical. It's great to have him in the dressing room. It's not easy to be in goal at Bayern. You don't get much to do, but you should keep the things that come - and in between an untenable one. Yann is going through a phase where he's playing a little unhappily. Sometimes with a bit of fault on his part, sometimes through no fault of his own” said Tuchel, who will give him another chance to start.
