One on one. The neck on neck. Two African superstars are featuring both for their clubs and national teams. In games larger than life

Sometimes, life puts you in front of an unexpected obstacle. And you're forced to face it once, twice, three times, or even more in the short term in order to fulfil your goals.

But if you think it hasn't been easy as pie for you, just look what Mohamed Salah has to challenge in days and weeks to come.

And who?

He has to prove his immense skills in front of none other than Edouard Mendy, Senegal and Chelsea keeper.

Two African gems will face each other on four different occasions, and almost every single one of them will be a massive game.

It starts on Sunday with the AFCON 2021 finals, but that's just the beginning. The two of them will meet again three weeks later, on February 27, in the Carabao Cup finals between Liverpool and Chelsea.

And that's just February.

March will bring much more heat and a pair of do-or-die fixtures, as Egypt and Senegal will meet again, only this time in a 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers playoffs. One of those teams won't see Qatar, which is such a shame bearing in mind their quality.

The outcome of this two-leg tie will depend very much on Salah's performance and the number of goals he'll potentially score faced with the much-respected custodian.

That Salah vs Mendy duel will be a pleasure to watch and see who'll make the most of it.
