Vipers and URA are reportedly interested in the out-of contract keeper.

AFC Leopards first-choice goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan could be on his way out of the club with reports in Uganda indicating that the former Uganda Cranes keeper is being targeted by Uganda Revenue Authority FC and Vipers FC.

Ochan, who has been at the den for the last two seasons is currently out of contract and the club is currently negotiating with the custodian over an extension. He has been one of their best players since he joined and has since been elevated to the position of assistant captain.

According to Kawowo Sports, Ochan is contemplating quitting Leopards and he returning to Uganda is an option for the shot-stopper a host of clubs including giants Vipers and URA are said to be keen on his signature.

On Friday afternoon, the club announced that Ochan, alongside fellow keeper John Oyemba, Hansel Ochieng, Tsuma Said and Clyde Senaji would all miss the Friday afternoon game against Bandari as they are now out of contract.

Asked where his future lies, the keeper said he will take time before deciding on what next.

“I will take my time to make a decision before choosing where I will play next. I am not in a hurry,” he told Kawowo Sports.

Should he decide to exit, the decision will come as a massive blow for AFC Leopards as, during his time at the club, the goalkeeping department that was initially a big problem has since stabilized.
