Trust us, there's nothing wrong with that title. It was almost impossible to find a seat at Wembley last night
More than 60,000 fans attended the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy at Wembley on Sunday. A vast majority were, of course, England fans who were traumatised with a penalty shoot-out drama that resulted in Azzurri's victory.
Not only they had to witness such a dreadful defeat and subsequent disarray but have to pay a sick amount of money for it.
The Euro 2020 decider was sold out, but fans have been trying to buy tickets through resale websites, where prices had skyrocketed a couple of days before the game - notably after England sealed their passage on Wednesday night after beating Denmark semi-finals.
While the tickets were initially priced at a reasonable 95 euros, 12.140 KSh, as indicated on UEFA's official website, the cheapest tickets available on second-hand online platforms started from around 485.633 KSh and have gone up to an incredible 2.555.966 KSh on some websites.
Non-England fans have also complained about the United Kingdom's strict restrictions due to COVID-19. According to the government's rules, travellers should isolate for ten days following their arrival in England.
