She noted that her faith determines which sponsorships and brand partnerships she accepts, even in an era where endorsement deals are a major part of an athlete’s career.

The 25-year-old American hurdler noted that her values guide both her personal and professional decisions, including the choice to walk away from lucrative opportunities that do not align with her beliefs.

“At the end of the day, I’m very firm on what I believe. Obviously, I try to carry that with grace and not be belligerent about it, but at the same time, I do stand firm on what I believe is true,” McLaughlin-Levrone said.

McLaughlin-Levrone further acknowledged that her stance has not always been easy, particularly when potential partners are unwilling to align with her values. However, she said she has learned to accept those outcomes.

“There’s times partners maybe don’t want to align with that, and that’s okay. I’ve learned to be content with those who support me, and I’m grateful for them,” she added.

The Olympic champion noted that her approach to sponsorships has evolved over the years. She admitted that earlier in her career, she may have been more inclined to accept every opportunity that came her way.

“If you would have asked me 10 years ago, I would have probably taken every opportunity out there. I’m going to continue to walk this path and just stay true to what I believe,” she admitted.

Despite being selective, McLaughlin-Levrone has worked with several major global brands. She is an ambassador for sportswear company New Balance and recently partnered with Meta during a promotional campaign for the Oakley Meta Vanguard Performance AI glasses.
