The two have over the years spoken many times about their relationship being built on support

Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles has capped off what is likely to be the best year of his life with a new title: fiancé.

Lyles proposed to his girlfriend, Jamaican sprinter Junelle Bromfield, on Sunday, 13 October with the caption, “To My Future Wife I Will Love You Forever.”

In the clip, they’re seen walking through the back of the house, where oversized images of the couple guided them to the pool area.

In front of the pool was a huge floral heart with the words “Will You Marry Me?” inside of it.

The heart was surrounded by the words “Marry Me,” candles, flowers, rose petals, and sparklers, too.

The couple were joined by friends and family, who toasted with them in honour of their future.

Dressed in a black suit with a gold stripe, Lyles dropped to one knee to propose to Bromfield, who wore a stylish grey dress adorned with small mirrors and a diamond-studded necklace.

The Jamaican sprinter joyfully accepted, allowing Lyles to slip the ring onto her finger.

To My Future Wife, I Will Love You Forever,” Lyles shared on social media.

Bromfield later celebrated the moment by posting, “Engaged,” along with a video of her dancing with friends.

Who knew that sliding into Noah Lyles’ DMs nearly seven years ago could lead to the love story of a lifetime?

Ever since the two have been through storms and also some of the greatest moments. Some moments even being historic!

The two have over the years spoken many times about their relationship being built on support.

The couple first met in 2017 through social media. The first date, however, did not go as planned. But Lyles and Bromfield ended up being friends for nearly five years after that. It was not until 2022 that the flames of romance entered their equation. Once the two finally made it official and started dating, there was no stopping them.
