The Louisiana-born Olympic champion, who competes for his mother’s homeland, Sweden, recently had a live performance of his song Feeling Myself released by a Swedish streaming service on Saturday, 20 February.
Known globally for soaring over record-breaking heights, Duplantis displayed a smooth, laid-back vocal style that mirrors the calm confidence he exudes in competition.
The performance comes just months after the 26-year-old set the pole vault world record for the 14th time, clearing a staggering 6.30 meters (20 feet 8 inches) at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo in August 2025.
Already widely regarded as the greatest pole vaulter of his generation, Duplantis continues to raise the bar.
Music, it turns out, is not merely a hobby. He has released two singles in Sweden, Bop and 4L, with Bop climbing to number 31 on the Swedish singles chart.
His growing catalogue suggests that when he is not chasing history on the track, he is comfortable commanding a different kind of stage.
Off the field, Duplantis has also celebrated personal milestones, including his engagement to Swedish model Desiré Inglander, capping off a remarkable period in his life.
In November, Duplantis was named World Athlete of the Year after becoming the first men’s pole vaulter to go undefeated for two consecutive years.
He has not lost a major final since the 2019 World Championships in Doha, where, as a teenager, he narrowly missed out to American Sam Kendricks on countback.
Since then, he has won every major gold medal available to him. At the Paris 2024 Olympics, Duplantis became the first man in 68 years to successfully defend an Olympic pole vault title, further cementing his legacy.
Now, the focus has shifted from whether he will win to how many more titles he will claim, and how much higher he can go.
Duplantis’ dominance is powered by lightning runway speed, technical precision at take-off, explosive strength and remarkable courage as he launches himself beyond heights that tower over 5.5 meters; the average height of a giraffe.
His sprinting prowess is often cited by rivals as his secret weapon. The higher approach speed generates greater kinetic energy, laying the foundation for record-breaking clearances.
He has even enhanced this edge through specially developed sprint spikes worn during world record attempts, featuring an unusual hooked spike in the forefoot to maximise grip and force transfer.
