Abel Kipsang finished fourth while Reynold Kipkorir was eighth

Britain's Josh Kerr produced a stunning sprint to the line to claim gold and beat Jakob Ingebrigtsen in the men's 1500m at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest on Wednesday.

Kerr, who won Olympic bronze in Tokyo where Norwegian Ingebrigtsen claimed gold, turned on the afterburners down the home strait to clock 3min 29.38sec.

Ingebrigtsen claimed silver, as he did at the Eugene worlds last year when he was also beaten by a Briton, Jake Wightman, in a similar finish.

Abel Kipsang missed on the podium after finishing fourth in 3:29:89 while Reynold Kipkorir was eighth in 3:30:78.
