A video of the five-time Olympic champion surfaced online, capturing the sprint sensation allegedly training with coach Marco Airale's group in Florida, which has other track stars such as newly crowned European and World Indoor Champion Jeremiah Azu, Rio 2016 Olympic 110mH champion Omar Mcleod, and British rising sensation Amy Hunt.
Thompson-Herah was last in action in June 2024 at the New York Grand Prix, where she finished in 11.48 seconds in a costly race as she sustained an Achilles injury that saw her withdraw from the Jamaican trials, subsequently failing to defend her 100m and 200m titles at the Paris Games.
She was the first woman to win a back-to-back Olympic sprint double when she retained both titles at the Tokyo Games and is reportedly looking to make the Jamaican team for this year's World Championships in Tokyo.

With a personal best of 21.53 seconds in the 200m, Thompson-Herah remains a threat to Florence Griffith Joyner’s iconic 21.34-second world record, set in 1988.
She was dogged by the same injury after her astonishing sprint double at the 2016 Rio Olympics, and she missed out on medals at the 2017 and 2019 world championships.
The three-time Diamond League winner stormed back with her second double at her second Games in Tokyo, also claiming a relay gold to take her tally to five.
With her newfound home, she is set to renew rivalry with two-time world 200m champion Shericka Jackson, who is also chasing the world record, once back on track.
The rivalry between these two Jamaican juggernauts could define the year, especially with reigning world champion Sha’Carri Richardson and Olympic champion Julien Alfred also in the mix, making for a thrilling showdown every time they take the blocks.
